+ Good location. If you arrive by Shinkansen, you're pretty much halfway there. If you go to the elevator in the middle (if, like me, you had heavy luggage), you're set for the best exit. If you need to use JR lines, the Shinkansen or want to go to Nara, it's all close. You're also close to the metro, the other train lines are farther away though. + Room size. Probably the biggest room I stayed in Japan, best bathroom for sure. Good access for anything in the bathroom even if you have mobility issues. + Desk and outlets for your devices were convenient, plus there was a little couch with a small table. Enough space to open the suitcase too, no matter what size. +Direct access to a 7-Eleven on the ground floor. A big Aeon Mall is fairly close too if you want something different than a convenience store meal.

The hotel is in the best location which is directly across the street from the Kyoto station. Our family traveled to Japan for the first time, it is super convenient and there is a 7-11 directly below or inside the hotel. The staff is extra helpful and the service is excellent! I would recommend getting the triple room for 2 adults and 2 kids, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. 1 of the best features that I appreciate is the hotel. The TOTO toilet has a seat warmer, and the bathtub and shower amenities are there. The hotel provides free amenities like a toothbrush and coffee or tea for all guests to take. We opted for the breakfast, it was not in the international breakfast setting but it was very clean and tasty.

Right across from Kyoto Station a block away and has a 7-11 attached to it. Got off the bullet train, had to go upstairs to get my three day Kyoto metro pass and walked and found this hotel easily. It's nice because I had to wait til 3 pm to check in and they took my bags so I headed off to Nara (1 hour local train, about 20 stops to it) and after Fushimi Inari Taisha on the way back (same train just 3 stops from Kyoto station) and checked into my room. Nice staff, nice hotel, quiet, warm, cozy and you are six minute walk away from a mall that has a grocery store on the ground level with all the major stores. It's called AEON MALL KYOTO, 1 Nishikujo Toriiguchicho, Minami Ward, Kyoto, 601-8417

The room is spacious, with a good city view and daylight. You could open the window to let the breeze in when weather is good or when you wanna know what s the temperature outdoor. I particularly like the toilet /bathroom design, with the bathtub, WC and basin area with individual doors , it allows family members using the facilities concurrently with privacy. The location is superb, I could reach the Kyoto station and its associated shops and restaurants within 5 min. walk. There is a convenient store 7-11 with a rear door directly connected to the hotel, you buy get all things you need even in a rainy day without getting wet.

A very nice Business-class hotel, extremely close to Kyoto Station. The lobby and room are mostly western-style, though the bathroom is clearly meant for Japanese-bathing, with a low-mount spray wand with a deep soaker tub. The beds were somewhat soft, though you only get a big, fluffy duvet for a top cover. The tv is large, and you can use it to view the status of the four coin-laundry machines (which are almost always in use). Most of the front desk staff speak some english, one was fully fluent.
